Fish Bowl combines favorite games of Taboo, Charades, and Password into a simple team game perfect for any occasion. Play it as a family, in the classroom, at camp, or at a party. Players learn teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving, making it a perfect educational family game. Teachers may find it works well for vocabulary words. When pole fishing, it can be difficult to know how to play fish, which is why I'm going to reveal a few tips on how I manage a hooked fish when guiding them to the bank with a pole. Like everything in fishing, the more you adopt these techniques the more proficient you'll become. Soon, you'll be landing every single fish!
Go Lighter
With my particular style of fishing, you can pretty much guarantee that I'll be fishing with a lighter elastic than a large percentage of anglers. My main line and hooklength won't always be light, but I'm a great believer that the greater resistance the fish feel, the harder they pull back. This is why I always opt for a fairly light elastic.

My main elastic choice when I am expecting to be picking off fish would be Hollo Elastic 11h. I probably use this size more than any other in the whole range, especially when shallow fishing when you're not sure what species of fish you're likely to catch or the size of the fish you're expecting to land next.
Avoid the Spook
The qualities this elastic provides, in my eyes, cannot be surpassed. It's soft on the strike, so plenty of elastic can leave the pole with ease. In turn, the fish will move out of the swim at a much slower pace, eliminating the potential for other feeding fish to be spooked.
This elastic also dramatically cuts down the amount of tailwalking skimmers. By using a RollerPulla Kit or Pulla Bung you can pull the fish back towards you easily.
The distinct advantages of a Roller Pulla kit over a Bung is when you're faced with a venue that's deeper than the length of the kit. I've used these kits on venues that are 5 metres deep! The technique I use is to play the fish as normal then break the pole down at the top 5, bringing the sections low and to the left.
Pump it up
Slide the pole through your hand a little, reach out and take the elastic at the bush. When you pull the elastic out, move the pole towards the fish in a pumping motion. Repeat this a couple of times and the fish will soon be in front of you. At all times, keep the pole low to the water.
The only real exceptions to this style are if I have hooked something like a barbel, as they are notorious for keeping close to the bottom. You need to lift the pole over the fish to get it to come mid-water, at which point the fight will commence.

Each day, you'll choose whether you want to take none, one, two, or three fish for the day. There are two other fisher folk also trying to catch as many fish as they can - they will follow your lead, and base their catch on yours.
The lake in which you are fishing can only support 20 fish (that is the carrying capacity of the lake). Every night, the fish that remain after a day of fishing will reproduce at a rate of 25% (for the purpose of this game, we round to the nearest whole number). However, the total number of fish can't exceed 20. For instance, if there are 12 fish, they will multiply to 15 overnight. If there are 19, they will multiply to 20.
Ready to play? Remember: the object of the game is to have as many fish as possible at the end of the game.
